What are the differences between SMD and COB led flood light?
Jan 23, 2018

A SMD LED  (surface-mount device light-emitting diode module) is a type of LED module that uses surface-mount technology.

A COB or 'chips on board' light is a type of led package. In COB lighting, single LED chips are placed directly on a circuit board (or substrate) which has thermal properties to disperse heat.

LED’s which are used on LED strip are SMD’s.

SMD: One chips broken the othe chips still can normal work. (Usually for high power lighting)

COB: One chips broken all chips don't work. (Usually for low power lighting)

The led chip we used for high power led flood light is SMD,so if you have any need, please contact us. Our led flood light can be used in stadium, shopping mall, basketball court, tennis court, seaport, marine, light tower. If you have any project where need led flood light, please kindly contact us.
